The Susan M. Kiley Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by long time member of the Oswegoland Optimist Club, Jerry Kiley. Sadly, the fund that has helped improved so many young lives, started when one young life was tragically lost.
Susan Kiley, young daughter of Jerry and Margie Kiley, of Oswego, was killed in a traffic accident in 1989, on the very day she was to register for classes at Waubonsee. With the help of the Oswegoland Optimist Club, Susan’s parents started the scholarship fund in memory of their lovely daughter. Because of this scholarship, countless graduating seniors from both Oswego and Oswego East High School, have been able to further their education at Waubonsee Community College.
The Susan M. Kiley Memorial Scholarship Fund will be awarding four $1000.00 scholarships to graduating seniors from SD308 this spring. Please contact your guidance office for additional information. If you are planning to attend Waubonsee Community College this spring, don’t miss out on this opportunity.
